‘You have to accept the fact that sometimes you are the pigeon, and sometimes you are the statue.’

As flags burn and statues learn to swim, the inherited power structures of society are coming under more scrutiny than ever. Written at a time the government announces 50% cuts to the funding of the arts, culture as a vocation is increasingly being reduced to the status of a hobby, whilst the acquisition of art is a luxury artists simply cannot afford.

So you have to ask yourself, are you the statue or are you the pigeon?
